The book then turns to scale modeling with detailed chapters on choosing a subject, a scale, methods of construction, materials and techniques, and the details of fittings and painting. Together, the two sections give the model builder a deeper insight into the logic of the full-sized vessel, and the relationship between that vessel, and the realistic scale model or working model.
