The Knowledge Medium: Designing Effective Computer-Based Educational Learning Environments

An examination of the notion of computer as medium and what such an idea might mean for education. It suggests that the understanding of computers as a medium may be a key to re-envisioning educational technology, and draws on a broad range of disciplines, from psychology to film criticism.
