Description

The 2004 Premier Issue of Canadian Currency Collection, is a software based catalog for Canadian coins minted since 1858 and Canadian banknotes printed since 1969. It contains 30 price table spreadsheets, listing over 3,000 coins and 370 banknote items, using over 25,000 price points. 15 of these spreadsheets are designed to allow users to document what is in their collection by entering the quantity of items they have, based upon a coin or banknote item and its grade. The catalog value of any items entered into the spreadsheets is calculated immediately, allowing the user to determine the approximate retail value of his or her collection. Two spreadsheets contain pricing for high grade Premium Quality and Cameo coins, which is a first for a catalog of Canadian coins. Another first is the software based lookup tables that allows a user to see specific views of any items listed in the spreadsheets.

Things such as listing all of the coins made for a specific year is one way to use these tables. Also a first is the lookup table for coin sets, which makes it easy to see which full sets can be collected along with their prices for an assortment of grades. A variety of tools and features are available to make it convenient for you to manage your collection. One tool allows calculating prices for coins, such as dealer buy prices, auction prices, and so on. Prices can even be converted into a foreign currency of your choosing, and you can adjust the price of bullion coins with fluctuations in the spot market.

To use the software, you will require Microsoft Excel XP/2002, running under Windows 98/2000 (FAT32 format), or Windows 2000/XP (NTSF format). Included is 222 page book containing a user guide to the software, an introduction to collecting coins, and a set of abbreviated price tables for the coins and banknotes listed in the software.
