IMS: Medical Neuroscience

Medical Neuroscience provides medical students with sufficient understanding of the nervous system by distilling from neuroscience those elements that have significance for the practicing clinician. Basic anatomic and physiologic principles are described with emphasis on their clinical relevance. Aspects of the field that are essential for understanding neurologic symptoms that physicians commonly encounter are identified and explained.
