The Ideal Book

The Ideal Book collects three essays by William Morris on the art of the book, including his considered opinions on layout, typography, ornamentation, the history of printing, and, more specifically, fifteenth-century woodcut books. His life and career are explored in the introduction by Richard Mathews, an authority on Victorian British literature with special interests in William Morris and printing history.
