Why I'm not married

"Why I’m not married" is the story of a man’s search for love, from the alleys of Tehran to the dazzling Saturday nights of Sunset Boulevard, a love that he has been searching for since childhood but has never found. Atta, who is now in his thirties, shares his memories and ideas about girls, love and marriage, as well as the evolution of his thoughts and the events that have shaped his character, personality and status, from his young days as a Baha’i child in the Islamic Republic of Iran, to the present time in Los Angeles. Beyond a memoir or a glance at Iran’s recent social history, "Why I’m not married" attempts to open a dialogue about the concept of marriage and the challenges it faces in the future. It discusses some of the predicaments of our modern world, such as loneliness or the quest to find love and one’s soul mate, which are universal experiences that transcend all cultural boundaries.
