The student s version of Talent Development Secondary's Discussion Guide to Walter Dean Myers contemporary young adult novel Monster includes selected vocabulary words, highlights important literary devices and features, suggests literature-related writing and extension activities, and provides space for brief constructed responses to questions on each chapter. A brief biography of Myers and suggestions for further reading are also included. This curriculum, developed at Johns Hopkins University, is used in schools across the country.
