Two Little Ladybugs

In his first childrens book, Two Little Ladybugs, author Larry Purcell charmingly brings to life two ladybugs along with other wonderful little characters. The story tells of friends helping each other as they prepare for and travel through the changing seasons. The author gives his audience a wonderful lesson in rhyme as he tells this imaginative tale. Two Little Ladybugs is a bright new look at unspoken love and literary visions for kids. I have read the book over and over and find a more beautiful part each time. The depth of character illustration entices my imagination and I know it will do the same for each child or adult that has the privilege and pleasure to know this story. The story is full of anticipation as the characters move through each season building to the crescendo. The story line will not be lost on an adult and what a remarkable way to illustrate the seasons of our life. He loves telling stories to his two granddaughters and the kids at his church grade school, where he is a substitute teacher. He often uses them as a sounding board for new thoughts and ideas for stories. Larry is very active in his local church where he serves and an elder and is heavily involved in many other activities. Larry and his wife Marilyn live in Missouri City, Texas, and enjoy time with their daughter, grandchildren, and many friends.
