Run for Your Life

Matt was born in Mattoon, Illinois, and was brought up in a loving home with excellent parents. He attended church every week until age fourteen and then started racing motocross on Sundays and fell away from the church and God. Matt spent many years chasing the wind and making mistakes. When Matt and Susie’s son was born, he realized the boy needed God in his life. Jacob, his son, came out running with scissors. He started taking Jacob to church every Sunday. In his quest to get God in his son’s life, his life was also changed in a glorious way. He sat down at his computer one day to write a short story for church and the thoughts came flooding in. He wrote these stories to himself, as he needed guidance at this crucial stage in his walk with God. Upon sharing the stories with others, Matt noticed the world around him was in need of biblical truths and principles. Matt is living proof that God can take a lost soul and transform it into one with direction, focus and, above all, hope. These short stories have helped Matt keep his focus, and it is his prayer that others can find a path in them that leads to Jesus.
