The Lingering Shadow

Tony and Deanna Domino shared the common desire, to retire from Seattle PD. Each had their private reasons, but had not fully realized how retirement would affect their lives. Deanna wanted to start a nursery, far away from the hassle of city life. She was farm raised and longed for the freedom of country life. For his own set of reasons, Tony also wanted a change. Except for the traffic, he was content to stay in the city. He used several reasons to rationalize his decision to leave Seattle PD. Working in homicide, he encountered the worst, the most horrific crimes of murder man is capable of inflicting on another human. What worried him most was his jaded attitude each time he encountered another murder. He wanted relief. Their plans changed for reasons they could not control.
