Our House on the Hill

Life was hard during the Depression of the thirties. It was especially hard for the Jackson family. This is a story of the struggles, trials and tribulations of one family trying to survive. Keeping a roof over their heads was a struggle. There was no employment in the area, and no money to leave there to find work. With five children to feed and clothe, it was a constant struggle. Winters were hard and they had few clothes to keep them warm. After surviving on little or no income for more than two years, tragedy struck. This is a story of how this family survived.
