Trophy of Grace: The Life of Gene D. Phillips, Faithful Missionary for 40 Years in Zimbabwe

When missionary Gene D. Phillips first sensed God's call to full-time Christian ministry, he seemed an unlikely candidate. As a senior in high school, Gene endured the untimely and devastating loss of his father. This left his family practically penniless and barely able to afford the necessities of life, much less the expensive education required for Gene to become a minister. But God had other plans and made the impossible possible for this young believer--a divine intervention that was but one of a string of remarkable instances interwoven into Gene's life story. During events that ranged from Gene's accidentally locking himself in an icebox to his being robbed and abducted in Southern Africa, God's saving grace was constant.
