Excerpt: The sound of Hilario's barely disguised anger cautioned Rafael to speak of other things. He nodded his head. "[1]Despense, primo, I misspoke. I meant to say that these men were bold to try to penetrate our defenses, like they did." Dylan interrupted the proceedings to say "The first four who died were captured farther down on the same ridge line, two days ago. It seems as if Plyntherin is determined to press the issue here, where you live, Hilario." Hilario Attila was furious! Any attack, here, on his land would endanger his wife and his children. To attack him, alone, was one thing, but to put his familia at risk, no! This was not acceptable "He must be stopped!" Hilario barked. "He must be killed!" "You are not upset that these others, these murderers who take Plyntherin's pay were dealt with so harshly, with no regard for their rights under the law?" Dylan inquired, frankly curious to learn the answer to his question. But Hilario Attila simply shook his head, no. He was not upset that the men who had put his beloved family in harm's way were themselves harmed. Bueno! This was good! "You already know that we Attila's have changed our thinking in this regard." Rafael spoke up. "We used to think that every man had the right to be taken into a court room and be tried by a jury before being hung. But now we realize that some men are too evil, too dangerous for such niceties. Some men need to be killed as soon as they are caught.........."
