Adrift with a Small-Town Girl: Lost in Poetry

A Drift--My eyes do not see. My heart stands still. I can no longer feel. I am lost in time, just floating along a road of no end. You reach for me, but I am not there. I am drifting along with the air. I have no need for earthly things. I am part of a greater scheme. I know not life. I live no more. I am waiting patiently on the shore of time. Waiting patiently for time to be no more.
