The mother of three children, her greatest challenge came in caring for her daughter Alyssa who was special needs and eventually died at the tender age of 3. Through that experience, she gained a new perspective on faith and now writes and speaks about the experience to help others who may be struggling with difficult times. She is a 21-year veteran of the Army and lives in Virginia.
