The Young, Triumphant, and Black: Overcoming the Tyranny of Segregated Minds in Desegregated Schools

Many educators struggle to meet the needs of gifted Black students because they know little about their experiences at school and at home. What are the experiences of gifted Blacks in desegregated predominantly White schools? How do gifted Black students survive and thrive in de facto segregated Black schools?
