A Stay-at-Home What?

While I was still employed full-time, I would talk dreamily about working from home. The kids, I thought, would not be a problem. I would find ways to keep them occupied and still have loads of time to do my own thing: write a book or two, put in a few new flower beds around our home, stain the back fence, clean out the garage, organize my tools, upgrade light fixtures around the house, paint the master bedroom and bathroom, and learn how to be a gourmet cook, among other projects yet to be accomplished. My wife warned me not to get my hopes up, but I dismissed her warning as mere skepticism. When I lost my job, I thought, I can do this! It's going to be great. I told Stacy, 'Just wait and see how much I'm going to get done.'
