Richard the Lionheart

As a son of the king, one would think a prince would live a life of glamour, prestige, and admiration, but that wasn't the case for Richard. Even though Richard grew up in a hostile and tumultuous background, he proved much stronger than his dad gave him credit for. He became a king of chivalry, courage, and respect from all of those around him. Many not only respected him, but feared him and therefore honored him as the true king. He became a crusader and fought many wars for the name of Christ. He wasn't a perfect King, but tried to honor his mother and his kingdom the best way he knew how. His life came to an unexpected end by the hand of a young man.
