A collection of poems for all wanderers ↟THE WILD KEEPS HER HOLY↟ is Aurora's second book & is organized into five chapters of haiku & long form nature themed poetry. It is inspired by Aurora's exit from her lifelong membership in the mormon church, after surviving & coming to terms with the ongoing abuse she experienced as a young teenager, in a religious setting. Through heartfelt words which are strategically placed on each page to give the reader a structured healing journey, Aurora describes the grief process, how she completely lost her identity as a fully grown adult, wife, & mother, & how she came to terms with her abuse as she found peace, strength, & holiness, in the arms of the wild & not within the walls of a church building. This trek through different seasons, terrains, & the elements, touches on self-love, heartbreak, relationships, depression, anxiety, forgiveness, & ultimately moving forward.
