When your Dad gets married again, it’s a good thing, right? Everybody happy all around? Not when your new stepmother can’t stand you. And when you don’t think too much of her, it doesn’t help either. That’s bad enough, but then other stuff happens. Like new babies, and people going nuts. So that’s where Marty found herself: dealing with all this stuff and trying to keep something special between her and both her mom and her dad.

Cutting Edge is a new fiction series for teenagers and young adults, dealing with difficult issues and situations. The books are fast-paced quick reads, focusing on aspects of the tougher side of life, a side of life many of the readers will have experienced and can identify with. Issues covered in the first five books in the series include: self-harm, incest, suicide, and gay sexuality.
