Guns Across Red River (Dales Western)

Dannehar and Oskin had grown up with the West and toughened into adulthood there. They had played their parts in the Civil War, ranging outside the law in their time, and then established reputations as peace officers in the wild days of untamed towns and cattle feuds that followed the war. Now an outlaw element was gathering in the Indian Nations where a new menace had raised its head. Murder and the threat of yet more bloody depredations to come loomed over an uneasy land. Friendship and a promise made long before impelled Dannehar and Oskin to journey out of Texas and into the country beyond the Red River where there was still work for the quick trigger - and still every chance of an untimely death in hot lead and gunsmoke.
