The spirit of British and Irish Lions rugby was revived by the level-headedness, common sense and skill of Ian McGeechan and Gerald Davies in South Africa in 2009, and Stewart McKinney's belief in and love of Lions rugby was rekindled, too, by what he witnessed at first hand on that tour.
