This book is a Sudoku solver, but is quite different from any others. All the best solving techniques can be found inside its cover, together with some very original tips, when you are well and truly stuck. What makes it unique is the way the techniques are illustrated. Other solvers use full grids, and co-ordinates to describe a particular box (or cell), so the reader has to find his or her way around the grid before appreciating what is being taught. This book uses only the necessary part of a grid, so the reader is focussed immediately on the technique in question. When co-ordinates have to be used in full grid illustrations (as in the Step-by-Step Solution), they are kept as simple as possible. In a nutshell, clarity is maximised and confusion minimised, so more time can be used for actual learning. A puzzle of some difficulty is (one step at a time) solved, to enable the reader to see all the techniques used together, to get to the solution.
