Health services top the public and political agenda; they dominate media coverage, incite passion and protests, enable or prevent people from living longer, healthier lives. Yet much of the rhetoric and discussion is confused, much of the spin inaccurate. Most people are unable to understand why the Irish health system is the way it is. This book intends to demystify and explain health services in Ireland.
