SYMBOLIZING SOCIETY PB (Education Policy Perspectives)

Lesko explores the contemporary cultural themes of individualism and community within the setting of a mid-western coed Catholic high school. Approaching these themes from a structualist perspective, she examines conflicts between them on the level of the school's organization and on the level of students' peer relations, as well as temporary mediations of these conflicts during annual school rituals.
