An Amazonian Rain Forest: The Structure and Function of the Nutrient Stressed Ecosystem and the Impact of Slash and Burn Agriculture (Man and the Bi)

An assessment of the role and importance of nutrients in a tropical rain forest, and in slash and burn agriculture derived from rain forests. The experimental results are based on a study area at San Carlos de Rio Negro, but the site is compared with forests in other tropical regions.
