This package contains the Proceedings of the Eleventh International Conference on Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Engineering (AIENG 96), which was held in Clearwater Beach, Florida, September 11-13, 1996. It consists of a hardbound book of abstracts of the papers and a CD-ROM containing the actual papers.

This is the first combined book/CD-ROM offering from Computational Mechanics Publications. The set contains papers presented at the Eleventh International Conference on the Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Engineering XI, and their abstracts. The Conference was organized by the Wessex Institute of Technology, Southampton, UK and the University of South Florida and was held in Clearwater, Florida, in September, 1996. The special book/CD-ROM configuration, with extended abstracts contained in the book and the full papers presented on the CD-ROM, has enabled contributors to provide more written material and users to benefit from the rapid word search facility.
