The young tribal church in the Philippines faces stiff challenges. Mormon missionaries are making inroads. So are strong local cults. Fear of spirits is a daily reality; exploitation by the luktanon, the lowland Filipinos, is common; backsliding a constant problem. Alarm grows as the church elders feel unequal to the task of scriptural correction. They pray for a couple who can teach and guide.
