On the Margins

The contributors focus on the careers of "problem" children and young people who have experienced some form of special provision in school on account of perceived disruptiveness, truancy, bullying, aggression, delinquency or nonconformity. The book presents the work of teachers and researchers who have investigated special provision from the view of "problem" children. It gives the children a voice and examines the effectiveness of their education.
