This collection of critiques provides an evaluation of the literature on finance, investment and innovation and proposes new methods for evaluating the comparative performance of financial systems in supporting innovation. The focus of the work remains on the relative effectiveness of national financial systems in supporting innovation and includes various proposals that allow the reader to evaluate the realative effectivenes of some individual country systems such as Japan, the UK and Italy.
