"Proverbium: Yearbook of International Proverb Scholarship", published annually since 1984 under the editorship of Professor Wolfgang Mieder, the world's foremost proverb scholar, is the only journal of its kind in the English-speaking world. The Yearbook succeeds "Proverbium: Bulletin d'Information sur les Recherches Parémiologiques?, published from 1965 to 1975 by the Society for Finnish Literature, Helsinki.
