LAND Search and Rescue Addendum: to the National Search and Rescue Supplement to the international Aeronautical and Maritime Search and Rescue Manual Version 1.0 (Volume 1)

The Land SAR Addendum was developed by the National Search and Rescue Committee (NSARC) to provide clear, definitive, standardized direction and information on search and rescue (SAR) in the land environment, including lost persons, missing vehicles and aircraft. This is the most important standardization of land-based SAR operations in over 25 years. For federal agencies, it is the guide on how to plan, organize, and implement a successful SAR operation using appropriate resources. The Land SAR Addendum expands on the US National SAR Plan and the US National SAR Supplement to the International Aeronautical and Maritime SAR (IAMSAR) Manual.
