In this new book, Petschel traces the history of counterfeiting from the era starting 1940, when it fell into the dark underworld of organized crime, to the present day. Petschel researched newspaper archives, police records and the National Archives to uncover these true crime stories - and in so doing, exposes how the U.S. Postal Service has failed to recognize this "most intriguing" crime of stamp counterfeiting.
