Remembering the Path to T-Town: Migration of an African American Family through Seven States to Lincoln, Nebraska

This story is about the westward migration of an African American Family though the Great Plains to Lincoln, Nebraska. It tells of perseverance in the face of adversity and racism and the ability of one black family -- like millions of others, to overcome obstacles and set-backs. The story begins with history about a German Slaveholder in 1720 who owned early members of the family in East Tennessee. It chronicles two hundred years of the family from Pennsylvania, Virginia, Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado and Nebraska. Descendents of the family of 'T'Town in Lincoln, Nebraska would become academians, military officers, lawyers, entrepreneurs and psychologists in Nebraska, California and Minnesota.
