Growing Up Colored in Monroe, Michigan

The author shares his true life experiences of pain and humor throughout the years in the 1960's, while being in the backyards of a little town called Monroe, Michigan, where the positive evolution of black history freedom had to also grow and evolve into what you see of today's model monuments, the Major-General George Armstrong Custer Statue and the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Bridge at Saint Mary's Park. The pictures in this documentary are illustrations of certain time periods where certain events took place. They are like stamps; a moment in history, yet not to be construed with the documentary itself, yet having an autobiography of the author's other time periods or, knowledge. While being a part of Eddie Flay Hudson's heart-felt journey through the 60's, the author would like to also emphasize that Monroe has evolved into a great city since then, and has displayed an equality shared through its jazz festivals and tourism of achievements throughout the United States of what you see today. But for now, he would like to take you on a journey back in time. This is his story........
