Brooklyn Story

This book follows the coming of age of young David Carlos Lee who lives in the Albany Projects in the Bedford-Stuvesant section of Brooklyn. It's set in the late '60's, where David has the hustlers, numbers men and drug dealers on one end, and the student protesters, campus revolutionaries, and Black power advocates on the other. Through it all, he finds the love of Sunny Storey, who helps him discover the answer he's been looking for.
