Eureka Mill tells the story of Carolina cotton mill workers through poetry. Clemson, S.C., poet Ron Rash follows the migrations of Appalachian mountain farmers to Piedmont mill villages. Following the blood-memory of his parents and grandparents, Rash tells the human stories of cotton mill life: long hours, low pay, loss of self-sufficiency.
