Fertilizer Technology and Application

This book presents information on the most common fertilizers applied in the United States and Canada at this time. The physical and chemical composition and technology of their production is briefly explained and illustrated where applicable. A separate chapter also is devoted to sources and methods of applying lime and gypsum as soil amendments. Methods of applying these fertilizers are described and compared with respect to nutrient use efficiency under varying conditions in the last chapter. Also included is information on calibrating equipment and calculation of salt indices.
