How had it come to this? Trapped with only the natural vegetation and the darkness of a new moon to hide him from the hunters, he felt the hopelessness of the situation. But others in his group were depending on him, a simple college professor, to outsmart the maniacal rebel leader who had vowed to kill him and now their lay in his hands. It was more responsibility than he had ever asked for or wanted. Escape was unlikely, but he knew that if he did manage to get out of this mess that he had stumbled into, some things would change. He was sick of being the hunted. He would become the hunter!
