Copper 2007 - Cu2007 - Volume 4- 4 - The John E. Dutrizac International Symposium on Copper Hydrometallurgy (book 1 and 2)

It is unanimously recognized that John Dutrizac's vision and dedication were invaluable for the successful organization of Copper 91-Cobre 91 held in Ottawa, Canada, in 1991, Copper 95-Cobre 95 held in Santiago, Chile in 1995, Copper 99-Cobre 99 held in Phoenix Arizona in 1999 and Copper 2003-Cobre 2003 held in Santiago, Chile in 2003. To acknowledge John Dutrizac's extraordinary commitment to the Copper-Cobre series of conferences, the Executive Committee of the Sixth International Copper-Cobre Conference, with the support of the MetSoc Board of Directors, decided to name this symposium in his honour. Volume 4 includes topics such as: recent advances in bacterial/heap leaching and solvent extraction; current status of emerging technologies such as pressure and bacterial leaching of copper concentrates. This proceeding includes many papers on the application of modeling and simulation to the optimization of copper hydrometallurgy. As in the previous copper hydrometallurgy symposia, there is a good balance between academic and industrial papers.
