This, the second of two volumes containing all of Professor Kitzinger's essays on late antique and medieval art, painting and mosaics, is accompanied by a new preface and a comprehensive index. Divided into three sections, Anglo-Saxon, the Medieval West and Norman Sicily, the Anglo-Saxon section includes papers on the Sutton Hoo finds, the coffin-reliquary of Saint Cuthbert and form and function in Insular art.
