Hydrology 2020: An Integrating Science to Meet World Water Challenges (IAHS Proceedings & Reports)

A milestone capturing the state of the art in hydrological science at the beginning of the 21st century, a pointer to exploring the new frontiers in hydrology, and a guide for those involved with developing and implementing water policies. In 2001, a group of younger hydrologists from different countries was commissioned by IAHS to look to the future and explore how hydrological sciences can evolve to meet the world water challenges that are expected to prevail by 2020. This book is the outcome of their deliberations. It considers the capability that hydrological sciences will, and should, have in 2020, and what needs doing now in order to achieve this.
