The House of Subadar

After losing their northwest Indian farm to the bank, the Subadars must embark upon a 1,000-mile journey through the panoramic, breathtaking states of Punjab, Gujurat, and Rajastan. Upon reaching their destination of Bombay, the dreams and expectations of the family are shattered as they are hit by the reality of urban slum life. At once heartwarming and heartbreaking, the story of the Subadars' 12-day travel in a secondhand truck is one of courage and loyalty, family and friendship, and ultimately finding hope amidst cultural differences and the tragedy of reality.
