Mary Charles introduces us to a community of characters, and although we do see the mortician at work, everything is comfortably tranquil, or so it seems. But strange things are afoot. Who can you trust? It may be best to let things rest, but events have their own momentum.

There is a foray into the antique art market, which gives the plot a subtle twist, and as the sinister undertone begins to take on real menace, you will be unable to put down this exciting suspense novel.
