Masada

Masada is the story of a captured Briton, taken by the original roman invasion force, and made to fight in a gladiatorial contest. Following his victory he is enlisted into the army and returns from Gaul to Britain as a centurion. As part of the Ninth Legion it is his job to quell the uprising of Boudicca by rescuing his commanding officer and sailing south. On reaching Londinium, he is promoted to the post of tribune before sailing to Rome, where he is to suppress a rebellion of slaves led by a one-time gladiator named Spartacus.
