Georg Baselitz: A Retrospective

Georg Baselitz paints violent and distinctive imagery that is reminiscent stylistically of both German and American Expressionism. To the public he is the painter of upside-down pictures. This extensively illustrated book—which reproduces all the major works from Baselitz’s distinguished career—explores his development, revealing an artist whose concerns are derived from his experiences of post-war German society.
