IN FASCISM'S SHADOW: (1): Armies of Northern Europe 1939-40 (Helion Order of Battle)

This is the fifth volume in the Helion Order of Battle series dedicated to tables of organization and equipment (TOE) of armies of the world in the 20th Century. This volume, and its future companion volume 6, considers in detail the organizations of the many nations that were overrun by the Germans and Italians in 1939-41, and also adds coverage of neutral nations such as Sweden. Volume 5 covers northern Europe, whilst volume 6 will cover South and Central Europe. Nations are presented in alphabetical order for convenience, and in volume 5 include Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden. T.o.E.'s (Tables of Organization and Equipment) are given for all main and many minor types of formations - from Belgian infantry divisions to Swedish armored brigades, from the Danish Jutland Infantry Division to the Polish Warsaw Motorized Brigade. This is the first time that such a work has been attempted in a published volume in English, and should be considered a breakthrough in amazing and presenting all these armies together in one source.
