Cattle Driving Dog Breeds from Around the World

This book describes first of all the history of the ancestors, relatives and hybrids of the modern domesticated working dog breeds. Also the Australian Dingo and Carolina Dog are mentioned. Chapter II describes the shepherd, moorlands in western Europe and the different types of sheepfolds in the Netherlands. Furthermore the author explains the way of driving sheep and cattle by special trained dog breeds. Also mentioned in this chapter are the so-called sheep trails or transhumance in central Europe.
