When You Think About Art: Ewing and George Paton Gallery, 1971-2008

The history of the George Paton Gallery (1971-2008), established at The University of Melbourne, and administered by The Melbourne University Student Union, charts a very important period in contemporary art in Australia. From its inception, under the direction of the late Kiffy Rubbo from 1971-1980, it provided a venue for post-modern activities and became the active hub of Melbourne's most avant garde art.
