Patient Violation

Patient Violation is a true account of professional sexual misconduct of a patient by her psychiatrist. The first part is autobiographical, recounting the details of the patient's life, particularly in relation to her lifelong problems with mood and behavior. The second half of the book is an analysis of what happened and why, and explains such terms and behavior as Transference, Counter Transference, Grooming and the power differential. There is a detailed appendices explaining some of the wide variety of mental health conditions as well as policies and procedures. The book targets both psychiatrists and associated mental health workers, and lay persons.
